NEVER worked January 8, 2009 J. Wegener (Alaska) We purchased two of the same frame for grandparents for Christmas. Neither one of them work right out of the box. Both screens would not come on at all. We have purchased the bigger sized version and love it. It was better quality no doubt.
Okay... JUST okay... for the money January 8, 2009 Vermont Chick (Vermont, USA) This "newer version" of the 6.5" model does NOT have a resolution of 800x480 as advertised. According to the specs on the box, it has a resolution of 720x480. I am not finding the picture particularly crisp, and the color is less than spectacular. I wanted a smaller frame for my desk at work, so that I did not have to have multiple picture frames and loose photos cluttering up my workspace. This frame is what I was looking for in terms of size, but that is probably its best attribute. The overall features are okay, but the controls are awkward and difficult to manipulate. I will give this frame a reasonable test run under office lighting, but I may just remove my SD card and send it back if I am not happy. The $79.00 price was very enticing, but now I am wondering if I should have spent an extra $20.00 or so, and purchased the 7" Sony model on sale through other websites. I have purchased several other digital frames over the last two years, and I must say, this is the most disappointing purchase of all of them.
Usable picture area. January 7, 2009 Anthony J. D. Ambrose (West Branch, IA.) Very satisfied with unit due to the fact that we researched it prior to purchase and knew that there was a picture size limitation. If you use pictures from your digital camera without modifying the size you will only use about 75% of the frame. We haven't tried to modify pics so not sure about results. Picture color and clarity was good, menus' very useable with many choices. Good value for the money.
Good Deal January 6, 2009 R. Ueckert (Nebraska) A great campanion piece to a digital camera. We were viewing pictures shortly after unwrapping the gift. Easy to start using.
Digital Photo Frame January 6, 2009 Minnesota Male The quality of the frame is good. It is a great frame if you want a basic frame that shows your photos in a slide show format (no sound, blue tooth, etc.). The resolution is 720 x 480, about double of most frames this size. The frame is good looking, but the plastic stand in back might break off if dropped. It has a clock with option to turn it off, manual or auto off and on, the ability to set different slide show intervals, limited editing in thumb nail mode, brightness adjustment, accepts up to a 2 GB card (internal memory is limited). Controls are in back along the top but easily reachable from the front. All in all a great frame for the price-$60.00 on 12/13/08 from Amazon.
